Lassi is a regional name for buttermilk, the traditional dahi-based drink in the Indian subcontinent. Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit. Namkeen lassi is similar to doogh, while sweet and mango lassis are like milkshakes.
